The Pal Theatre was open by 1940 with seating listed at 454. The style listed for the theatre was Art Moderne. The theatre continued as a movie picture theatre through the end of the 1960’s.
After the theatre closed as a movie house it was renovated by the Jenkins Co. Development Authority and has been operated as the Olde Pal Theatre & Civic Center. The most recent renovation to the theatre was on March 28, 2007 when a new marquee was installed.

Last time I drove the Pal it was closed and i figured it would never reopen. In Louisville,Ga. there is a PAL theatre there that the last time I got that way was serving a meal and a movie.
