In the northwest coastal city of Porto, this building opened in 1839 as the Aguia D'ouro (Golden Eagle) café.
Films were first presented in 1908. It is not known whether they were full-time from that date, but screenings continued until around 1989.
Hotel Moov now occupies the site. Although the original building has been demolished, the fine Art Nouveau façade, thought to date from around 1908, survives.
