Luxe Cinemas Papamoa

Located in Papamoa, a suburb of Tauranga, about 11 kilometres from the city centre, the Tivoli Cinema opened in late-2018. It was the second cinema owned by Shane Jarrett and Karen Hawes after the Tivoli Cinema, Cambridge (see separate Cinema Treasures entry).

The cinema is housed within the Excelsa Centre, a multi-purpose complex that opened in three stages between 2015 and 2020.

In August 2023 the Tivoli Cinema was taken over and renamed the Luxe Cinemas. It now operates alongside the family-owned Luxe Cinemas in Tauranga (see separate Cinema Treasures entry).

Seating capacities are: Screen 1:54, Screen 2:35 and Screen 3:31.
