The first location for the Cozy Theatre was in an old stone commercial building dating back to 1861. This location likely opened in May 1913. The May 1912 Sanborn shows Clothing/Boots & Shoes located here.

The Cozy Theatre operated here until it took over the premises of the Aurora Theatre in 1918. The building reverted to retail use at that point. It was given a rather severe remodel with a stone facade, perhaps sometime around 1940. The building is a menswear store today.
