The Electric Picture Palace was situated in the Methodist Mission Hall of 1789 where John Wesley had once preached. It was certainly active in 1914 but the original opening date and the closing date are far more elusive.

The hall became home to the Christian Workers' Union in 1936 and it still occupies the building. A blue plaque has been placed on the wall outlining the buildings notable exploits.
