The Auditorium first appears in movie listings in 1931, with 750 seats. The building is a large red brick community hall, typical of those built in smaller communities on the Plains after World War I.
Capacity remained at 750 through 1936, but then fluctuated, being listed as 250 in 1937, and 400 in 1938. Listings stop there, but this likely showed the occasional film off and on over the years.
A simple ticket booth remains in the lobby. The building is largely unchanged, except for new doors at the entrance and on the rear, in what was likely a fire station.
