The Broadway Electric Theatre opened its doors in either December 1906 or January 1907, and was renamed Bijou Dream Theatre in April 1907. Throughout its history, it was mostly operated by Harris E. Davis. The name was shortened to just Bijou Theatre following a short July 1921 remodeling closure for several weeks.
The Bijou Theatre closed for the final time on September 23, 1933 after its last owner, the Comerford chain, sold the theater to Fred V. Follmer from a sheriff’s sale.
