The Starlite Drive-In was located in the town of Sheridan but the address was listed in the northwest outskirts of South Point in Coal Grove. It opened around 1952 and was operated by Gene Combs. Last known as the Starlite Auto Theatre it was closed on September 4, 1986 with “Born American”, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre II” & “Lethal”.
Although a private neighborhood is currently at the theater’s site, the theater’s address and entrance was located on the Old U.S. Highway 52, which the highway had a few drive-ins surrounding it (including Burlington’s Outdoor Drive-In which later became known as the Super 52 Drive-In in dedication to the old highway).

A closer address is 26 Pvt Dr 700 Co Rd 1, South Point, OH.
Despite the lengthy address, it is on Co Rd 1.
A 1952 aerial shows the drive-in under construction. By 1954 it seems to have been completed. By 1983, the drive-in was still intact although I cannot say if it was open.
By 1996, the drive-in had been demolished with a housing edition put in its place. No trace of the drive-in remains.

Judging by the construction, it probably opened either in the middle of 1952 or at the start of 1953.
This was later known as the Starlite Auto Theatre, and closed on September 4, 1986 with “Born American”, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2”, and “Lethol”.

The house that sits at the address is where the entrance road was once located. There is no trace of the drive-in remaining.
