Cineplex Junxion opened December 9, 2022, at Kildonan Place with six screens and Cineplex’s UltraAvx with ScreenX, D-Box, RealD 3D and Doby Atmos sound.
Extras include xscape gaming arcade, party room, live entertainment space and food with beverages.
Construction began in 2020 as replacement for the Famous Players Cinema, which ceased operations four days before the new Cineplex opened.
Cineplex reports they operate over 170 theaters across Canada.
