Located in the Gulf Gate Plaza. The Gulf Gate Theatre was opened by Chris McGuire Cinemas on August 27, 1969 with John Wayne in “True Grit”. It was taken over by Cobb Theatres in 1976 who reopened it with two screens on November 23, 1977. It was closed on August 22, 1985.
