Located in the Whifflet district in the south of Coatbridge, to the east of Glasgow. The Whifflet Picture House was opened by 1934. It was operated by Robert B. Peat. It was equipped with a Mihaly sound system and the proscenium was 22ft wide, the stage was 10ft deep and there were two dressing rooms. It was still open in 1942, but had closed by 1944. It had re0opened by 1945 and was still open in 1958, by which time it had been equipped with CinemaScope and the proscenium had been widened to 27ft. It had closed by 1963.
