Located in Coatbridge, to the east of Glasgow. The 1,200-seat Coatbridge Cinema was opened by 1913. Throughout its entire life it was operated as an independent cinema by Coatbridge Cinema Ltd. and was booked by A.B. King, who had his own large chain of cinemas. In later years it was renamed Cinema. Around 1930 it was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system and the proscenium was 22ft wide. It was closed in the mid-1960’s and has been demolished.
