With spaces for 1,200-cars, the Wilkes-Barre Drive-In opened on June 26th, 1955 with Victor Mature in “Violent Saturday” & James Cagney in “Run for Cover”. It closed on September 27, 1987 with William Katt in “House” & Arye Gross in “House II: The Second Story”.

Kohl’s now stands on its site. It claimed to have the largest snack bar in Pennsylvania.
