The Moonstruck Drive-In opened September 4, 2020.
Playing first-run movies and classic films every weekend. The present price of admission is $30 a carload and are pet friendly. The first movie to open with was John David Washington in “Tenet”. The permanent screen is connected to shipping containers with food trucks for concessions. A second screen was added March 20, 2021 and a third screen was added on April 30, 2021.
The company also opened a second location in Austin in June 2020 with “Fast and Furious 9”. It is located at the Circuit of the Americas race track on Lot J. They also have a 200 car capacity.
The Moonstruck Drive-In at East River was badly damaged by a tornado in May 16, 2024. Repairs and renovations were carried out and it reopened with 1-screen on June 23, 2024 with the animated feature “Inside Out 2”. Screen 2 reopened on June 27, 2024.
In early-September 2024 it was announced that the operators of the drive-in were looking to find a new location as soon as possible.

here’s the history, this drive in was opened in September 4th, 2020. Screen 2 Was Added In March 20, 2021. And Screen 3 Was Added In April 30th, 2021
on 5/16/24, Moonstruck was devastated by a tornado. We are hoping to get funds together to rebuild our screens, but we do not currently have an estimate date to re-open.
On 6/20/2024, We have completed the first phase of our rebuild and renovation, and we look forward to having you back soon! Starting 6/23/2024, This Drive In is reopened with 1 screen
On june 27, 2024 screen 2 reopened
