This opened as the Eric Frazer Theatre by Sameric theatres on March 18, 1970 with “Goodbye, Mr. Chips”. It was twinned, opening on June 14, 1975 as the Eric-Twin Frazer with “Earthquake” (in Sensurround) & “French Connection 2”. The Eric name was removed in 1993 when it was taken over by United Artists, who closed it in 1997.

Why Eric? Many of the Sameric Theaters used that as part of the name, but not all.
Eric is the name of the grandson of Sameric’s founder.
