The Silver Slipper Drive-In was open on October 23, 1939 with Barbara Stanwyck in “Red Salute”. It was the first of 3 drive-in’s in close proximity to Jackson. By 1949 it was known as the Drive-In and was operated by Paramount Gulf Theatres Ct. Last operating as the 80 Drive-In, it was closed on May 28, 1961 with Hugh Marlowe in “The Long Rope” and Gregory Peck in “The Big Country”.

Today no trace of the drive-in remains. Hayles Towing & Recovery now occupy the site.
