SilverCity Newmarket Cinemas 16 is a movie theatre in East Gwillimbury in Newmarket, Ontario. This theatre was opened on December 8, 2000 by Famous Players with the release of “Dungeons and Dragons”. It was taken over by Cineplex Galaxy in 2005.
Initially, this SilverCity had 16 auditoriums with 3,830 seats. The cinema count was cut to 13 once Cineplex opened the XSCAPE Entertainment Centre gutting three auditoriums. An UltraAVX screen was added in 2012.
