The Majestic Theatre was opened by 1912. It was located in the northern storefront of a three story brick building constructed sometime between 1901 and 1906, when this space was occupied by a plumber. The 1912 Sanborn shows the building extended to the rear. By 1926 it was operated by the Stanley Company of America chain and was still open in 1929. It had closed by 1930. All the buildings on this block were demolished around 1998 to be replaced by a bland and chintzy municipal transit/office building.
