Located in Kendal, Westmorland (today Cumbria). The Kinema was opened at the end of July 1913 with 600 seats. Architectural firm Nagington & Shennan of Liverpool were the architects. In 1930 it was equipped with a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system. In 1936 it was altered to the plans of architectural firm Belshaw & Gomersall after it had been taken over by the Brennan’s Cinemas Ltd. circuit, first re-named Picture House but soon after it became the Roxy Super Cinema following a refurbishment. The seating capacity had been reduced to 458.

The Roxy Cinema was closed in the late-1960’s and was demolished around 1970.
