The Picture Theatre was opened by 1913 and was run in tandem with the Pavilion Cinema, just a few yards up the road, by Tadhg Kilgannon. It was a 500-seater and was fitted with an RCA sound system. It last appeared in the Kine Year Book in 1942 and the last film is believed to have been “Bohemian Girl”. The area has been redeveloped.
