Located in the outer south Melbourne district of Mentone. The Mentone Theatre was opened in 1922. It was possibly only a silent cinema, as in 1930 a New Menton Theatre opened on Nepean Highway.
It has been demolished and a community care home now operates from this address.

The first Mentone Theatre building was actually the Mentone Skating Rink which was also used as a silent movie theatre.
