The Palace Theatre was opened February 3, 1920. By 1941 it was operated by Paramount picture Inc. through their subsidiary Harry David. It was still open in 1955, but had closed by 1957.
It 1958 it was taken over by the Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre. By 2015 it is known as The Creative Center at the Palace, and is used for meetings, auditions, rehearsals, storage and set building space. Their performances are now held at the Parrish Auditorium of University of Hamilton.
