Located in the Effington Village Square Mall, the Village Square Cinema 1 & 2 was opened on January 14, 1974. It was taken over by RMC Theatres on February 14, 1997 when it had 3 screens. A fourth screen was added on March 14, 1997. Three more screens were added on June 27, 1997. On June 19, 1998 it became a 9-sceen theatre and stadium seating was added.

Theater with an identity crisis: half of the print references call it the Village Square Mall Theater.
On their website the list it as the Stadium Cinemas.
This opened as the Village Square Cinema 1 & 2 on January 14th, 1974.
