Located in the central Cuba town of Fomento, in the Las Villas province. The Cine Agabama (named after the river) was a conversion of an existing building which had been purchased by brothers Manuel & Felipe Romeo in 1944.
It was re-named Cine Florindo Gomez Cancio in 2001.

The building had been a tobacco warehouse. Florindo Gómez Cancio had been the film operator in the theater, nicknamed “Ñego”, who died in 1991.
