The Skyway Drive-In, located on Highway 6, was opened on April 7, 1948 with Lucille Ball in “Her Husband’s Affairs”. It was operated by Jack A. Farr and had a capacity for 650 cars. In 1954 a CinemaScope screen was installed it was enlarged to accommodate 900 cars. It was later operated by Schulman Theatres and closed in 1969. Not to be confused with their later Skyway Twin Drive-In (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures)
