Skyway Twin Drive-In

Not to be confused with an earlier single screen Skyway Drive-In in Bryan, which was also operated by Schulman Theatres (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). This Skyway Drive-In was opened on August 27, 1969 with Dick Van Dyke in “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” & Alan Alda in “Paper Lion” on its East Screen and Richard Burton in “Where Eagles Dare” & Debbie Reynolds in The Unsinkable Molly Brown" on its West Screen. It was still open in 1980.

Opened In Early 1969, The Skyway Twin Drive-In Is Its Sister Drive-In To The Original Skyway Drive-In Which Operated From 1948-1968 (Movies)-1976 (Special Events). It Was Still In Operation Since The Early 1980s.

The Skyway twin opened on August 27th, 1969. Grand opening ad posted.
