Vestry Hall

Located in the St. Phillips district to the north of the city centre. The Vestry Hall was taken over by Ralph Pringle and he opened this venue as Pringle’s Picture House on 18th October 1908. Taken over by A.B. Atkinson around 1920, it became the Vestry Hall again.

Around 1930 it was equipped with a RCA sound system. The Vestry Hall was closed as a cinema in 1954.

It went over to industrial use and in 2014, is unused.

Saints Court is now at 12, Pennywell Road, so maybe it’s been converted to flats? Or demolished to make way for flats? Full postcode is BS5 0EE.
