This Eric Theatre opened on December 22, 1967 with the animated feature “The Jungle Book” & “Charlie, the Lonesome Cougar”. It became a twin on June 25, 1976 and was renamed Eric Twin Penn-Jersey. It became three cinemas in June 1983 and renamed Eric 3 Penn-Jersey. It was taken over by United Artists and renamed UA Movies at Penn-Jersey. It closed on September 5, 1996. It became a car dealership and wreckers yard.

actually, the theater closed around 94-95. i remember the theater was damaged in a flood in 96.
I would assume when this became a 3-plex, one of the twin theatres itself was split into 2?
I wish I had a picture of the mural that was painted on the upper walls inside. I remember it vividly.
The Eric Penn-Jersey Theatre opened its doors as a single-screener on December 22, 1967 with Walt Disney’s “The Jungle Book” and “Charlie The Lonesome Cougar”. It was twinned on June 25, 1976, renaming it “Eric Twin Penn-Jersey”, and was tripled in June 1983 after one of its auditoriums was divided and was renamed “Eric 3 Penn-Jersey”.
United Artists later operated the Eric 3 Penn-Jersey during its final years of operation. It was lastly known as “UA Movies at Penn-Jersey” before closing for the final time on September 5, 1996.
The Saturn of Oxford Valley dealership is now AVP Service Center and Faulkner Collision Center
Taken over by United Artists on April 22, 1988, after UA purchased all then-48 Sameric theaters.
