The Maple Drive-In was opened in 1953 and was operated by Michael Delfino. It was located in Indian Orchard to the southeast of Honesdale. PA., adjacent to the Indian Orchard Cemetery. It was closed in 2003. An auto dealership is now on the site.

Funny you should mention that…I though the name was MAPLE as well, but could not find a listing.
This drive-in came up as a match to the general address…and as I don’t recall there ever being a drive-in in Wayne-proper, I assume that it is the one I was thinking of (next to the Indian Orchard Cemetery.)

Approx. address for this drive-in was 971 Texas Palmyra Hwy. Now Wayne County Ford.
Opened in 1953. Closed in 2002. 300 cars. Screen sold in 2007 and moved to Beckys Drive-in in Berlinsville.
Correction Walnutport, not Berlinsville.
Billboard, April 10, 1954: “Michael Delfino, co-owner of the Maple Drive-In, Carbondale, Pa., took as his bride Gwen Calibro, also of Carbondale.”
