Sutton Theatre

The Linden Theatre opened September 17, 1938. It was closed in July 1953. New operators took over and it was remodelled and reopened as the Cinema July 29, 1954. This operated until the spring of 1963.

It reopened as the Capri Theatre on May 15, 1963, screening X-Rated adult movies. This only lasted for four months, as it was renamed Sutton Theatre from September 19, 1963 as a first run theatre. The Sutton Theatre was closed in 1965. The building was used as a bank in the early-1970’s, but had been abandoned by the 1990’s. The building was partially demolished.
