Located in the center of Bayamon, Puerto Rico’s second largest city, this was a favorite for families living in San Juan and Bayamon. Cars driving by would always catch a glimpse of the movie playing. Its biggest years of popularity occurred during the 1960’s when it played second run movies.
Its location in the middle of the city was a deciding factor in its closing since the real estate value of the area climbed immensely.
The International Drive-In closed down in the mid to late-1980’s and was torn down.

State Road #2 on the Map shows the Southern United States and Central America. PR-2 would have at least got it on the correct road.
Anyone have more info or photos?
JJ: The drive-in in Carolina was called the 65th Infantry Drive-In, since it was located on 65 de Infanteria Avenue. It was owned by Wometco Commonwealth.
Jose Juan 883.. I used to live in Ponce,P.R. in front of the Drive-Inn. It was in front of Pampanos. I might have a picture.
The Drive-in from Bayamón did NOT closed in the early 70’s. I have a picture of the drive in marquee where it was showing “Instant Justice” (1986) and “Platoon” (1989) it must have closed in the late 80s
Çorrection: “Platoon” is from 1986
Doesn’t even look like the land was used immediately for retail shops. Nature was overtaking the land for a few years at least according to the aerial photo.
