The Strand Theatre was already operating in 1919. From the 1930’s to the 1950’s, the Strand Theatre was owned by Ralph & Gladys Boice who also owned the Boice Theatre in Warsaw, Indiana. The Strand Theatre is listed in the 1956 Film Daily Yearbook with 380 seats.
