The Starlite Drive-In was opened on August 8, 1950 with John Wayne in “Sands of Iwo Jima”. It was operated by Spud Stocker. It was taken over by Porter Garrett McGee, known as ‘Fibber McGee’ and was still open in 1962 which is the latest city directory we could find.
