Wilson were due to open Grubb’s Drive-In on the Winston Salem Highway in the next three to four weeks. According to an Enterprise AD it opened about June 1949 and was later advertised as Grubb’s Moon-Glo and then just Moon-Glo.
The Moon-Glo’s last AD appeared in the High Point Enterprise on May 6, 1953, playing for adults only, “Strip Strip Hooray”. ‘Gals and Gags, Legs and Laffs’. By 1955 it had been renamed Crescent Drive-In
The Enterprise reported in 2015 that after Mr. Grubb closed the drive-in, he took his equipment and opened the Crescent Drive-In in Thomasville.
It was said AAA Self Storage, currently on site, has an aerial photo of the Moon-Glo on display.
