The Charleston Drive-In opened prior to 1952 and it had a car capacity of 200 cars. It was operated by D. Stout from Cairo, IL. Stout also operated the Rt. 51 Drive-In in Cairo, IL.
The Charleston Drive-In closed in 1969. It is now a trailer park.

The Charleston Drive-In was listed as open in 1952 and closed in 1969.
Motion Picture Exhibitor, April 17, 1957: “The Charleston Drive-In, Charleston, Mo., has been leased by Geraldine Twitty and Earl Ferrell for the season. Andy Dietz, Cooperative Theatres, will buy and book. The owner of the situation, Doby Stout, appears to be gradually withdrawing from exhibition."
It appears that the foundation for the projector booth/concession stand still survives.
