Pacific Theatres 2,800-seat Fashion Center 10 opened on December 18, 1998 just a mile away from their Winnetka 21, which had opened the previous February.
The Daily News of Los Angeles noted that the theatre was built inside of the former Robinsons-May home store. Fashion Center itself had suffered extensive damage during the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
It was closed on March 17, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was announced on April 13, 2021 that the closure would be permanent in all Pacific/ArcLight theatres.
In December 2021 it was taken over by AMC and reopened on July 15, 2022 as the renamed AMC Northridge 10.

December 18th, 1998 grand opening ad in the photo section.
Opened on 18/12/1998 on screen 1 with “The prince of Egypt” and on screen 2 with ‘A simple plan".
AMC is slated to reopen this theatre in Spring 2022.
Boo! It STILL hasn’t opened nearly 6 months after the AMC acquisition! 😫😫
Does anyone know when this theater is going to open or if it will? Maybe they will not open it with the opening of the new Topanga Theater?
This will be the AMC Northridge 10. It appears the opening date is July 15th with Thor LAT. The website is up on AMC. Per Google, there are a few images of the new remodel, including one of the auditoriums that have new seats! Not sure if they will get a Dolby or an IMAX, but they did have 2 large theaters with 60 foot screens, so hopefully its going to get a premium screen at some point.
This is now open and from what I can tell, it seems they really did not do anything in terms of a remodel here. They even kept the same 25 year old crappy seats and the old carpet. They did nothing to update this theater which has the potential to be a wonderful location.
There is no large format, no laser and no recliners. I will head over this week to see if they added new screens, projectors and speakers.
Capacity is 2,705 via Fandango
Auditorium capacities: 240 (1), 288 (2), 475 (3), 152 (4), 240 (5), 240 (6), 153 (7), 153 (8), 475 (9), 289 (10)
