The Roxy Theatre was opened prior to 1941. Since 1991, the Roxy Theatre, which is owned by the Alta Community School District, has been home to the Buena Vista Community Theatre Company. Also, since 2001, the Touch of Broadway singing troupe has been based out of the Roxy Thatre. In addition, the theater is frequently used for school events and meetings.
