On December 18th, 1998, 39 new movies screens opened in the Vancouver area on the same day. This cinema, Famous Players SilverCity Coquitlam 20 and the 6 more screens and an IMAX theatre added to the SilverCity Riverport

Just for the record, though I am on a partial sabbatical, the entire thing is currently known as Cineplex Cinemas Strawberry Hill.
To correct anyone, this theatre has been operating under Cineplex Entertainment since 2003. Loews Cineplex actually opened this theatre since the original Cineplex Odeon folded as an independent company in 1998.
This theatre’s opening movies include The Prince of Egypt (Digital), Psycho (Digital), Meet Joe Black (Digital), Babe: Pig in the City (Digital), Jack Frost (Digital), Kitchen Party, Big and Harry, Very Bad Things, Elizabeth, Life is Beautiful (Digital), and Waking Ned Divine (Digital).
