Located in Bostonia, to the east of El Cajon, south of San Diego, CA. The So-Cal Motor Vu was opened on May 20, 1949 with Maria Montez in “Pirates of Monterey” & Penny Singleton in “Blondie’s Secret”. It was renamed Aero Drive-In on May 23, 1950. It was operated by D.L. Johnson & Roy Dickson Theatre Services Corp. It was also used as a swap meet. It was closed in early-1999 and demolished later that year. A housing development named Teatro Circle now stands on the site.

Goggle Earth 1991
Closed early in 1999. The last screening was a free screening(names of movie or movies screened unknown?), and also free popcorn and free soda to all attendees. Only 4 cars turned up. The screen was taken down in june 1999. The swap meet continued until(2003?). The site is now 90 condo style homes.
I’ve lived in El Cajon for about 14 years & I’d never heard of it. It seems not a lot of people here have, which is probably why it no longer exists.
