The So-Cal Motor-Vu Theatre opened on May 20th, 1949 and renamed (or placed its first ad as) Aero Drive-In on May 23rd, 1950. 1949 grand opening ad posted.

The old location is outlined by the appropriately named “Teatro Circle”.

I’ve lived in El Cajon for about 14 years & I’d never heard of it. It seems not a lot of people here have, which is probably why it no longer exists.

Closed early in 1999. The last screening was a free screening(names of movie or movies screened unknown?), and also free popcorn and free soda to all attendees. Only 4 cars turned up. The screen was taken down in june 1999. The swap meet continued until(2003?). The site is now 90 condo style homes.
