Apparently this was the location of the E.M. Loew’s Bangor-Brewer Drive-In which properly operated from its opening on July 4, 1950 with Maria Montez & Jon Hall in “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” & Nelson Eddy in “Phantom of the Opera”. It ran right up until the 1986, right in the middle of Brewer.
Located near the Brewers shopping center and stores (sadly there no remains of the drive in but, you can clearly see the field of the old drive in).

I was out a couple weeks of ago surveying the old drive-in to find out that there are but, some remains left. The old possible footings for the screen are still on site and the old electrical wiring is still standing maybe what powered the lights and concession stand.
Too bad no one has any pictures of the old drive-in.
Wonder where they dumped all the carbon rods.I have found reels tossed in nearby woods when i visit old Drive-in sites.
It was owned by E.M.Lowe’s.In 1971.
@ Mike when I visited the site for the Findley Drive-In Findley, Ohio there was speaker posts with the concrete bases laying in the fence row under the trees.
Approx. address for this drive-in was 637 Wilson Street.
A Walmart was built next to the site, and there have been several attempts to repurpose the site, but as recently as 2014 the area has been used as storage or material site. Currently there is no activity on the site

If you look at the picture of the screen, you will notice there is a marquee in the front, too bad you can’t see it. At the top of the marquee is an arrow pointing toward the entrance. It said in neon “Drive In Entrance”. This has been restored and hangs in the Nicky’s Cruise-In Diner on Union Street in neighboring Bangor.
