The Washington Theatre opened on July 21, 1913. It was renamed Fox-Washington Theatre in 1919 when it had been taken over by William Fox. It was closed in 1928.

Now demolished, was built 1913 and was closed or demolished in 1928, was located next to the Statler Hotel. When the Statler hotel added the 200 room expansion in 1916, it was created between the existing hotel and the Washington Theatre. Picture of Washington

Such a beautiful building and it only lasted 15 years. Seems people were just as wasteful then as now.
