Built by Masonic Lodge 222 A.F.A.M. to house lodge activities and show movies in 1910. Named Majestic Theatre it opened March 3, 1910, it was later renamed the Palace Theatre. Operated by R.E. Lawrence and A.D. Campbell, owners of the Majestic Theatre in Peoria,IL.

Later purchased by Kerasotes Theatres (1930’s) it was remodeled in 1947 to the plans of architect Cletis R. Foley. Closed around 1949, after reopening the Town Theatre (former Sunset Theatre) across the street on December 2, 1949.

Not sure when it got the second story, but the 1913 map shows this as one story, with small storefronts on either side of the entrance. The upper story is Prairie style, which would have been popular in the ‘teens.
