The Apollo Theater in Dusseldorf was built in 1899 as the Variete-Theater. The UFA chain took over the Apollo Theater in 1930 and after renovations it re-opened as a cinema with “The Dreyfus Affair”.
The Ufa Apollo Theater had 2,800 seats and was the largest cinema in Dusseldorf. It closed in March 1959. During 1959-1963, it was used as a televison studio. The building was demolished in 1966.
