The Ritz Theatre was two blocks South and on the opposite side of the street of the larger Rialto Theatre on N. Adams Street. This was also one of the five theatres in the downtown area of Camden. I found it mentioned on a couple historic websites for the County Camden is located in but no history. The Ritz Theatre was opened by 1924. It was later given an Art Deco style make-over. It was listed in Film Daily Yearbooks for 1941 & 1943 as being operated by Paramount Picture Inc, through their subsidiary M.A. Lightman. It was still operating in 1953.
From what I found the building is still standing but couldn’t find what it was being used for.

The address is wrong. The theater was at 116. It did have a 111 address until sometime between 1948 and 1953.
It seems to have been an extensive remodel of the southern half of very old commercial building dating to before 1886. The space is shown as a grocery on the 1917 map, but was operating by 1924. Obviously, the art deco facade dates to some later point. The theater remains in operation on the 1953 map. It was converted to retail at some point, but appears vacant.
I added a picture I took in 2016. Looks like it’s been spruced up a bit since then. Still need to fix the address, dates, etc.
