This was one of the most beloved cinemas in Liege the so called "cité ardente", it shoud be compared to the Victory Cinema in Brussels which had the same kind of programming of westerns, American action and B movies.
The Socety "Crosly" created in the 1930’s opened three cinemas in Brussels and one in Antwerp. It was opened in 1920 under the name Coliseum Cinema and in 1936 became Crosly. In 1949 the Society opened in Liege the Crosly Outremeuse(former Pavillon/Repbulique Cinema).
It closed in October 1976, and was the longest running of the Crosly Cinema’s, the last one in Brussels closed on 1957, and the one in Antwerp in the late-1960’s.
