Opened in 1921 in the commercial street Rue Vinave d'Ile as the Liege Cine. It was renovated in 1932 and became Marivaux Cinema and it was under the same management as the Balzac Cinema. The programing was mostly French movies first run. It was equipped with a Wurlitzer 2Manual/8Ranks theatre organ.
It was renovated again in 1964 and it closed finally in 1977. The front and entrance was still recognisable in retail use, but it has since been demolished. All the informations on the movies theatres of Liege are in a book from Jean Louis Lejaxhe "Histore des Cinemas de Liege" with a lot of details and informations, a must for all the movie theatre lovers.

My photographs, taken in August 2017, show that the Marivaux has been demolished and replaced by an apartment block.
