The Valley Theatres was one of three cinemas in the greater Fayetteville area that was first under Schneider-Merle, then Martin Theatres chain and later-on Carmike Cinemas, who closed it in 1990.

The location for this theatre was on Sycamore Dairy Road. It opened in the early-or-mid 1970’s as a twin cinema under Schneider-Merl Corporation before it was taken over by Martin Theatres and later on by Carmike Cinemas until its closing in the early 1990’s.
A car dealership now sits where the cinema once stood.
Carmike has never impressed me as a theatre chain,what few theatres i have seen that they run are dumps and mainly in smaller towns.
An auto dealership now stands where the former Valley Twin Theatres once stood.
