Located in the Norwood Village Shopping Center. The twin screen theatre was originally built as a Jerry Lewis Cinema, opening on July 19, 1973 with the animated feature “Charlotte’s Web” & Raquel Welch in “Kansas City Bomber”. Name was changed to Village Cinema before construction was completed. Two new small auditoriums were added on December 12, 1980, bringing it to four screens.
A local independent owner operated the theatre into the 1990’s before closing it after purchasing the larger eight screen Hardy Court Cinema. It operated as a nightclub for a short time before it was demolished. A Wendy’s hamburger restaurant now stands on the site.

This theatre was never actually known as Jerry Lewis Cinema. Before construction was completed on the theatre it was decided to call it the Norwood Village Cinema. It was locally known as just the Village Cinema. This was one of the best maintained and operated theatres in this area. It was family owned and operated.
A Wendy’s Hamburger Restaurant now occupies the old site of the Village Cinema.
Opened on 19/7/1973 on cinema 1 with “Charlotte’s web”, and cinema 2 with “Kansas City bomber”.
4 screens on December 12th, 1980
