ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST opened 40 years ago today at the long-gone Esquire Theatre in Chicago. The movie had its world premiere two nights earlier at the long-gone Granada Theatre, further north in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. Sadly, there are a lot of long-gone movie theatres in Chicago.
